About HMKC

HMKC is proud of its rapid growth within the community. As a Non-Profit Organization, the HMKC has contributed to or organized the following: Obedience Classes, Nursing Home visits, Contributions to Michigan State Veterinary College, Contributor/Member MSU Pure-bred Dog Endowment Fund, Contributer for Ottawa County Sheriff Dept. Drug Dog Fund, Contributor to Allegan County Sheriff Dept. Canine Fund, Allegan Fairground Building Fund, American Dog Owners Association, Ottawa County 4-H Dog Awards Program Contributor.

History of Our Club

HMKC was founded in 1974 by a small group of dedicated purebred dog fanciers interested in establishing an AKC licensed All Breed Kennel Club in the greater Holland area. Some of the things offered ; 2 AKC licensed shows annually, B-OB Fun Matches, Public Programs, Memership Directory, Breeder Referral Service, Monthly Meetings and Special Activities.

HMKC has established a firm policy against the wholesaling of puppies to Pet Shops, whether by puppy mills or careless breeders.

Our Mission Statement

The purpose of HMKC is the betterment of purebred dogs; To encourage sportsmanlike conduct and competition at dog shows; To educate the public in the care, training and breeding of purebred dogs.
